(R)adio (E)mergency (A)ssociated (C)ommunications (T)eams "Public Service Through Voluntary 2-Way Radio Communications" Internet: http://www.REACTINTL.org February 24, 2005 -- IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- "OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS FOR CONVENTION PARTICIPANTS" (REACT NEWS CENTER) Corona West, CA -- Room accomodations for any REACTer wanting to arrive early or stay after the 2005 Convention are nothing to be concerned about according to the 2005 REACT Convention Planning Committee. "Room rates have been 'locked in' for all convention attendees," according to Michael Greany, Chair of the 2005 Planning Committee, "We started early and negotiated an incredible deal so the room rates to be the same before, during and after the actual convention." The 2005 Convention, hosted by CREST Communications, will be headquartered at the Ayres Suites in Corona-West, California. Members of Team CREST were very excited when Ayres Suites agreed to extend their discounted pricing to convention attendees when arriving early or delaying their departure at the conclusion of the convention. "There are lots of things to do here in southern California," said Greany. "I hope that any REACT member coming to California to attend the convention will start planning early to maximize their enjoyment while here. There is something interesting or entertaining available no matter what map you use for this area. The secret is to plan early and take advantage of whatever time is available." Team CREST has launched an 'all out' effort to assist by highlighting many of the theme parks, popular attractions and shopping centers within driving distance. Many local-area teams are assisting by submitting ideas and some of the popular "hot spots" in their support region. "The Convention is a joint effort," Greany reported. "I am very encouraged by the outpouring of suggestions being offered by various REACT teams. The Convention is bringing out the best of REACT in southern California." Local REACT teams should continue to submit their entertainment suggestions to be added to the convention web site. Questions or suggestions should be sent directly to their general e-Mail box or to any member of Team CREST.
