(R)adio (E)mergency (A)ssociated (C)ommunications (T)eams "Public Service Through Voluntary 2-Way Radio Communications" Internet: http://www.REACTINTL.org February 21, 2005 -- IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- "CONVENTION PLANNING COMMITTEE RELEASES LATEST UPDATES" (REACT NEWS CENTER) Corona West, CA -- Education and information will be the primary themes of the 2005 REACT Interntional Convention. According to Michael Greany, Chair of the 2005 Planning Committee, "This year's REACT Convention will be one of the most unique and interesting in a long time." In addition to the standard forums that provide all attendees with direct access to Board of Director members, this year's convention features a BBQ evening offered by convention host CREST Communications REACT Team #4252 on Day Two and a daily "examfest" for those wanting to obtain or upgrade their amateur radio license. "We made considerable progress at a recent planning meeting and now will be finalizing and releasing information the RI Board has been wanting," said Greany. "Our Planning Committee members are very dedicated to providing a convention environment focused on education and information. I urge all REACTers to check the convention web site frequently as that is how we will be providing most of the updates as they develop." Several documents have recently been published on the convention web site and were e-mailed to the Editor of "the REACTer" magazine, official publi- cation of REACT International, Inc., including the convention application and a tentative schedule of events and activities. "Our Committee is staffed by some very talented and highly dedicated REACT volunteers. Our team has accepted this latest challenge and we are now fully engaged. The eyes of our entire organization are on our team, and we will not disappoint them," said Greany.
