(R)adio (E)mergency (A)ssociated (C)ommunications (T)eams "Public Service Through Voluntary 2-Way Radio Communications" Internet: http://www.REACTINTL.org February 18, 2005 -- IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- "SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GEARS UP FOR 2005 CONVENTION" (REACT NEWS CENTER) Corona West, CA -- Radio communications volunteers from across southern California are gearing up for an invasion during the month of June this summer. Volunteers in the Inland Empire are hosting a "REACTive" invasion that will begin on June 22 and end on June 24 in this quaint mecca of enthusiasm when the 2005 REACT International Convention will be held in southern Califonria at the Corona-West Ayres Suites. "The Convention Planning Committee has been ramping up and collecting lots of information for this year's attendees," said Michael Greany, Convention Chair and better known simply as 'Crest 210' locally on the two-way radio. "Our web development team is already hard at work making it easy for anyone who wants information so they can plan ahead. We're trying to provide some web site links to the many theme parks and interesting locations we have in southern California. We will also be using the Internet to publish updates to our planning efforts and to reply to those with questions regarding some of the basic arrival/departure concerns and what they can do to enhance the extra time they may have while attending the convention." Attendees of the 2005 REACT Convention can either arrive early and tour the many theme parks and sightseeing opportunities before the convention and/or delay their departure after the convention and still take advantage of the discounted convention rates obtained by the Convention Planning Committee at the 2005 Convention Headquarters site at Ayres Suites in Corona-West. "We are delighted at the discounted rates and incredible amenities package being offered to 2005 Convention attendees. Not only did we obtain a very nice rate from Ayres Suites, but the rate covers two people at the exact same price as a single occupancy and each room is an actual suite," Greany said. "This is a truly incredible packaged deal for southern California." REACT members attending the 2005 REACT Convention should book their suites early as they are expected to go fast. Ayres Suites is centrally located near the major freeways in Corona and provides quick "on/off" access to the primary north-south and east-west corridors in and out of Corona. There are a limited number of "full handicapped" room are available that includes wheel chair in shower capability.
